A Little About Suburban Riot

The founding Riot Crew was raised in the mellow Pacific Northwest. Over the years we migrated to Venice, CA, or as we call it, the heart of darkness. Sub_Urban Riot’s look and feel is a result from years of influence that is both sunny hedonism, and rainy clarity. We are a combination of ideas. Many of these ideas contradict one another, just as the physical environments where we come from contrast those we live in now. This blend of influences is how the Sub Urban Riot, came to be.

Kiss Me Deadly’s Van Doren bra prompted such positive feedback about its comfort that we thought we’d add a twist of elegance to its vintage shape. A diamond mesh fabric and an ivory contrast trim bring out its superb shape, and we’ve added a narrow suspender belt that’s boned with a non-stretch centre panel, which is perfect for a little bit of shaping that’s really easy to wear. This set is quite contemporary looking, but we’ve kept the full brief, complete with its diamond pattern rear.

This set comes in sizes S, M, L and XL, for the six strap suspender belt, six strap cincher, brief and thong 32-36 B-DD and 38C-DD for the bra.

We’ve themed this series of pictures around a Hans Christian Andersen story that’s full of female characters and great quotes. Can you guess which story it is? This character is the Princess: ‘All the newspapers in the world has she read, and forgotten them again, so clever is she.’

A Little About Kiss Me Deadly

Once upon a time a woman went on a long search for a good suspender belt set … and ended up with a vintage inspired lingerie brand designed for
femme fatales; glamorous, sensual and intelligent women with just a hint of danger.

Obviously that’s the short version of how Kiss Me Deadly came to be, but it has all the important bits! Now Kiss Me Deadly been going a while they’ve expanded the range – seamed stockings, girdles, cinchers, corselettes, silk french knickers, pin-up pants, longline, push up and quarter cup bra’s, plus so much more.

A Little About Angeline Tournier

Angeline launched her shoe label in 2006, with her signature Betty & Veronica cartoon wedge. In 2009, she designed a spiky Dennis the Menace cartoon wedge, to celebrate The Beano’s 70th anniversary. A pair is displayed at the London Cartoon Museum.

She has received extensive press coverage in UK and international magazines, including in Heat and Marie-Claire, and Twiggy is a fan. “The collection is sexy, glamorous and elegant, and caters for a full range of feet” (Footwear News).

Her shoes are stocked online and in boutiques throughout the UK. Her shoe size range is UK 3 to 10.

Angeline used to be a lawyer in the City and West End of London, and was offered partnership, but left her job to study shoemaking at Cordwainers, London College of Fashion. She also worked for fashion designer Matthew Williamson prior to setting up her own label.
