Headlines This Week 4/10
April 10, 2009

- DON’T SPEAK IS BACK! Gwen Stefani gets done up in the latest fashions for an upcoming cover of Elle magazine, assuming the July Music Issue. No Doubt will appear in their first live appearance after a five-year hiatus. They will kick off The Today Show summer concert series on May 1st. FashionIndie.com

- Halle Berry appears on the cover of May’s Harper’s Bazaar, prompting the Daily News to label her the “latest victim of overzealous Photoshopping.” A magazine-cover subject (gasp) Photoshopped? They don’t say. The paper notes that she looks “older than usual.” The retoucher did not, you’ll notice, completely remove the bags under Berry’s eyes. NYMag.com

- Saggy pants, baggy pants, slouching, whatever it’s called – that fashion of wearing them waaaaaay below the point where the boxer shorts begin. Is it errant fashion legally banned by Riviera Beach? Or does the wearer have a constitutional right to display himself the way he wishes even if it involves underwear? PalmBeachPost.com

Country superstar Taylor Swift has had the opportunity to wear beautiful dresses to events like the Grammy Awards and ACM Awards, but there is one gown that isn’t just sitting in the back of her closet: her prom dress! Swift has given her long cream and gold Jessica McClintock gown to Hearst Magazines’ DonateMyDress.org, the first national network to bring together local dress drive organizations across the U.S., to help girls give and find the dress of their dreams.
