Headlines This Week 3/6
March 6, 2009

- Britney Spears kept things sexy as the ringmaster at her Circus tour kickoff in New Orleans Tuesday night. The singer clad herself in fishnets, sparkles and a stone-encrusted bra and corset — and that’s nothing out of the ordinary for a woman who has spent most of her career dancing on stages (and in cages) flanked by sweaty, toned men. - Badgley Mischka’s twentieth-anniversary spring ad campaign stars Eva Longoria Parker, Carrie Underwood, Brooke Shields, Lauren Hutton, Anjelica Huston, and the designers themselves, shot by Annie Leibovitz. People.com
- British actress Sienna Miller is facing an investigation over her fashion label’s recent show in London, following a flurry of complaints from local residents. SFGate.com
- I’m one of the biggest disgusted-yet-devoted America’s Next Top Model fans around, and until a few days ago, I had NO CLUE that season, excuse me, cycle 12 premiered tonight — one week later than originally scheduled. EW.com
- Lithuanian model named Auguste Abeliunaite (what a name) made her first ‘exit’ wearing a brown wool suit and fluorescent orange heels, tears streaming down her porcelain cheeks, we wondered at first whether this look wasn’t some sort of bizarre new makeup trend. PopGloss.com
