April Martin’s jewelry is inspired by the coastline and beach culture of living a California lifestyle. She worked in the high tech industry for fifteen years before letting loose her creativity and owning her own business. She creates classic, yet unique designs with the use of 14K gold, freshwater pearls, and embellishments like bamboo. Her goal is to make each and every one of her clients feel happy, beautiful, and distinctive. Just like her jewelry, April has an eclectic yet classic aesthetic when it comes to rocking out in her car. See what she listens to, rocks out to, and gets inspired by this holiday season:
These are the songs that I’m into at the moment … I really only listen to music when I’m in the car. When I’m driving, I like to crank up the volume.
- “Strong Me Strong” by Yellowman—The Yellowman song is a quintessential reggae song for me… great guitar and percussion and Yelloman’s voice is great.
- “Waterfront” by Simple Minds—The Waterfront is one of my favorite 80’s songs … a bit more obscure than other Simple Minds songs but really powerful and great to drive to.
- Oh Little Brain “STS9”—This song takes me back to when I saw them in Boston. It’s a good song if you are stressed out. It’s from their new album called Peaceblaster. I know the band and hung my backstage pass from my XL Peace and Love necklace. Very Apropos …
- “Wildflower” by The Cult—I LOVE to sing and can sing this one really well … It simply rocks. The Cult rules. Heehee!
- “Roots of Coincidence” by Pat Metheny—Pat Metheny is one of my faves. This song in concert will blow all of your hair back…I try to recreate that experience in my car.
I’ve been running around like a maniac for the Holiday season so the list is very high energy. Next month I will be into another five songs (as I like most genres on music) but these are some good solid songs that say April.
