We are a few individuals in love with fashion and music and hope to share with the rest of the world this passion and sense of belonging we call Oligoville. The purpose of Oligoville is to build a community of independent designers and musicians capable of sustaining themselves in the ever intensifying market of commercial fashion and music.
Oligoville was founded in May of 2008. The unlikely trio of a fashion designer, an audio engineer, and an accountant spent months developing, trashing, and redrawing ideas to form a community, which could bring about change to a stagnant fashion and music industry.
Although our vision is lofty to say the least, Oligoville will never rest until the day independent designers and musicians can help market one another and be truly connected to their fans and customers in ways power fashion houses and major record labels could never even dream of. At Oligoville, we believe it’s time to take independent fashion and music to the next level and share it with the people who need it most – the fans and followers who have always been there, but have just never been aware.
We are currently developing the first beta release of Oligoville, which is expected to launch Spring of 2009. Just a few of our fun and exciting new features include a social network environment, an e-commerce/sales analysis platform, and a revolutionary marketing opportunity to utilize Oligoville’s network, called Micro Endorsements. We are currently searching talented artists. This includes musicians and designers. In order to ensure we represent the best of the best in band merchandise,menswear, womenswear and accessories, here is what we are looking for. If this sounds like you, we want to hear from you!
Designer
- We are looking for unique, innovative and well made merchandise.
- Must have consistent and professional branding. We look for professional looking logo, great product images and a cohesive style.
- Applicant must be the designer or a representative of the organization. No third party resellers allowed to open a store at this time.
- Sorry, no vintage designs or custom items are allowed.
- Only US based applicants are allowed.
Musician
- Must be a currently touring band or have regularly scheduled shows.
- Must have original music.
- Must have a press kit.
- Must have access to take photos and/or other media content from shows. (or a fan base which regularly contributes material)
- Only US bands are accepted at this time.
How does it work?
Oligoville makes it simple to do business. There are no start up or listing fees and our transaction fee is 13%. This includes any merchant fees involved so there are no additional fees. The transaction fee is automatically deducted from the payout deposited straight to your bank account by us every 14 days. The fee is taken from the sale amount not including shipping charges. The 14 day period ensures that the sale is final and the customer has not opted to return the merchandise. A third party service is used for all bank transfers so your information is always safe.
Your store front is easy to set up and manage and will include many features to sell your products and promote your company. Once a sale is made, you ship directly to the customer as you would with your present online retail stores.
Oligoville provides a one cart shopping system for all stores. So a customer can add products from various designers to their cart at once. Also, store policies are the same across the board for all Oligoville shops. This ensures greater consumer confidence and satisfaction.
