Ripped, torn, destroyed, worn, cut, and stone-washed. All describe one of the recurring trends of the past and present – distressed denim. Distressed denim isnt a new trend, but is a popular one that comes back with a new twist every time. Mostly made famous in the early 1980′s with stone washing, worn denim this summer and fall is meticulously crafted and designed and seen on celebrities of every age.

The Hill’s stars Lo Bosworth and Audrina Patridge show off their designer distressed jeans while filming their new upcoming season of their MTV series.

Lo’s look is sophisticated with her Christian Louboutin pumps, preppy black and white cardigan, and light washed distressed jeans. Her simplistic watch and blitz earrings dress up her jeans look.

On the other hand, Audrina has always been more of an edgy rock appeal. She’s sporting heavy ripped dark jeans, motorcycle boots, an open vest, and loose white razorback tank. Her cross necklace and white purse accessories feminize and contrast against her biker bombshell style.

Both Lo and Audrina’s outfits are easy separates to put together and basics to match with other fall trends, especially footwear.  Lo’s Louboutins are great for work or a night out, while Audrina’s flat boots are ideal for day-time errands.
