Downing has an uncanny knack and love for fashion, and advises women to consider colorful cardigans the new jacket.
Cardigans are simple and versatile. This wardrobe essential adds polish to dresses and separates; and to really add a touch of personality and style try belting a cardigan over jeans with your favorite pair of flats.
“I’m a true believer in seasonless dressing and fabrics. I think we all understand that it’s hot all over the world and you can layer. It’s not about traditional heavy wool clothes anymore. [It’s about] a little cardigan or a lightweight jacket,” says Downing.
With a skirt, over a cami or to dress up a pair of Sevens, cardigans are timeless. Our mother’s mother wore them and this is one piece that every woman should have accessible for the upcoming months to create the classiest of looks this Spring.

Love the cardigan. Yet again, another yellow for the seaon!!! I guess it is a good thing that I love yellow and burnt orange and rust colors as that’s what I keep seeing, that and a shade of turquoise seems to be popping up. My jewelry desings will certainly work with the color scheme for 2009.
I have 4 more sets of earrings to post that will compliment the 2009 colors beautifully. Wow, I just love that cardigan.
